Hello fellow VJ members,

Just wondering... are there any other members awaiting NOA2 from VSC beyond 8 months. Currently, I'm at 8 months and 16 days. It's so frustrating sometimes when I see people who filed way after me get approved and actually complete the K1 process. I'm happy for everyone who gets through but I feel that US Immigration can do better. I would have been satisfied to even get a proper update other that your case is in initial review. I filed service request upon service request ever since I found out they were beyond my processing time, to which they give a discouraging generic response of you should receive a decision or notice of other action within 30-60 days of this letter. I Know that besides me there are a lot of people facing the same anguish I feel.

Question- What is the longest they can actually wait to come to a decision? Can it really go up to a year and beyond?

Hi! I'm so sorry to read this! This year has been crazy and the processing times are lasting beyond ridiculous. But since I joined visa journey, I remember a case that it took 10 month to get their NoA2 after almost 3 rfes. If your NoA is beyond the processing time (according to vsc chart) you should involve your congressman. I read that it might help and in some cases it did. But that's all I know! Good luck bud

Unfortunately, there is no rationale as to why it is taking sooo long. Every application/petition is handled differently by each Center. I read a thread the other day that someone has been waiting a year, there are several who have been waiting for more than 8 months. Just keep doing what you are doing. Contact Congressman, Ombudsman, etc.... You will be approved soon. then on to the next 8 month waiting process of AOS.

Don't know what the longest is but I read a post in the last couple of days where 2 people had been just over a full year waiting for NOA2. I really hope you hear something before the months out.
