Hi there !

I am a conditional permanent resident and I filed i751 in september !

I lost my green card but I need to travel.

Went to uscis office last week , lady told me I need police report for lost green card and then I can get the i551 stamp in my passport .

After getting the police report went back to uscis office and the other person was there , he told me I need to file the i90 form first in order to get i551 stamp !

I dont think i need to renew my green card because I will be getting new soon

I really need advice! What to do ? I dont wanna pay $450 again :(

If you lost your green card you must pay the fee to get a replacement. The stamp is one form of replacement, so you must file the I90 , one of the things the I 90 wants when you lose your greencard is the police report of the loss.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
