Hello everyone :)

I know that i`m not the only one in this situation, but if somebody knows more info about it please share it..

so i filled for AOS after K1 visa in September, i got my Bio apt. and after that my EAD... i filled for AP later (i was approved really fast for AP, but i`m not gonna use it because all this things for not guarantee re-entry)...so i called USCIS for request and they told me that the time frame is 4 months, but maybe now will take a lil longer and every case says NBC but actually my case can be everywhere ...

Is that a lil sad to wait 6 months and they even can`t tell you where is your case.. I don`t know if they doing this on purpose, but it`s so annoying at some point :(:(:(

Even when the NBC is now processing the ajustment cases, they still manage the processing time according your local office (if you check the NBC's processing time chart, you wont find the I485, instead, you need to check your local office i485 processing time). I filed fir AoS on early july and Im still waiting :(. They are still processing june-july. Is not 5 or 6 month anymore, now is according to the last group who had been process. My hope is that my package is at the NBC facility in Missouri so I have a high chance of getting my GC without interview.

Hang in Savka, there are people who filed in July 2012 for AOS that are still waiting for their GC. I waited 7 months for mine.

Your local field office should be the same place as where you did your biometrics.

I cannot believe that you and Henry still haven't gotten anything. Everytime that I see that you are still waiting, I feel bad for the two of you.

Hiiiii!!!!!! Yesssss it's awful! But what bothers me the most is that I keep reading topics from people who adjusted from tourist visa and they are getting their green cards in less than 3 months!!!! Is just not fair! I'm hoping hearing news before March ends! So I keep my finger cross!!

Your local office is not at the ACS. It maybe housed in the same federal building, but it is not the same office where you did your biometrics.

Hi - new here. And so glad I came because I was getting worried about our situation. My husband is actually the one awaiting for the interview/GC. USCIS received his I-485 in September and we're still waiting. So I guess it's going to be a long wait if the June/July ones haven't even gotten theirs! Ugh...this bites. :(

*** Thread moved from main AOS/Family-Based forum to the Case Progress subforum. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hi there!

This is interesting news...first time I have heard that NBC is processing the cases according to local office timelines. Did you get this info from USCIS? Just curious :D

Hope you guys get good news soon!

Some have, some haven't. It depends somewhat on whether their case was transferred to CSC or not (the practice of transferring to CSC stopped Aug. 1). It looks like some of the July folks who were not transferred are now starting to get NBC approvals.

Yes I did, I have call several times to the USCIS and all of the staff I spoke with, confirmed this! Why? Cause every month I call to complain about why my case is taking too long they say that "according to your local office you are still are in the regular frame of time". The last time I called I told them why if the NBC is taking care of the I485 why I have to wait for my local processing time? She said was like..."well, that's our policy"
