Haiti. Auto-expedite. I'm surprised it was only 19 days, but I'd expect to see Haiti cases done in a very short space of time anyway. Congrats.

my fiance is haitian 214 days we been waiting. it's not auto-expedite for haiti.although the uscis site said so.

I see from the VJ Immigration Timelines petitions for Haiti Fiance(e) are processed in about a month. It's common.

AISMAEL, every petition should be processed by USCIS just as speedily as yours.

We all deserve it.

Congratulations, and enjoy your time with your love!

Actually Haiti is NOT auto-expedite. It was 3 years ago after the earthquake (but ended in January 2011.) Soo, you are definitely blessed! Congrats and good luck in the next step! :)

It appears CSC never got the memo about not auto-expedite. No real surprise the two service centers operate differently. Just further proof the whole immigration system is broken.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

It's a shame my fiancée isn't Haitian. 235 days and counting here. It's hard not to be filled with anger and envy.

I guess it only pertains to the other centers. Though mine is not a k-1, it took 4 months to get the NO2. Anger and envy only destroy :hehe:

Congrats on your NOA2

Hi guys. I understand that this post is going to be very discouraging for some. At the same time, I feel that my experience thus far needs to be shared. Maybe it will give some hope??

I applied for a K1 Visa for my fiance in Haiti. It was mailed on February 11th 2013, and then we recieved our NOA1 on February 20th, 2013. We just recieved our NOA2, stating that our application was approved on March 11, 2013.

I do not know why we have been so blessed. I feel unworthy of this fast pace, when I know there are so many others out there that have been waiting so long to be be with thier loved one!! Praying the interview goes as smoothly....this can't be real!!!

wow that is Awesome!! send mines out on friday.. hope I get the same luck!! good luck!

Family-based petitions for Haitians ARE supposed to be automatically expedited. Some of the service centers and people reviewing your case know that and others don't. That notice on the website is still valid because...it's still on the website. It doesn't matter that it hasn't been updated. There are other notices on the site that haven't been updated recently, and they are still valid. It's up to you, the petitioner, to follow up and kindly remind them (and insist if necessary) that the notice to expedite the petition for your fiance in Haiti is still in effect. They may try to tell you no, it doesn't apply anymore, but IT DOES. After calling one or two times, some people get discouraged and decide not to push the issue (I was initially one of those people), but keep at it if you want the approval of your petition expedited.
