CEAC visa status : issued

I attended the K1 visa interview at Delhi embassy on 8th march. The officer told me that he is approving it but since I had problem with H1B in the past ( mentioned my fiancee at the visa interview then ) he said it might take a little longer to get back the passport. He mentioned normally it would take 10 days but in this case allow us 20. He kept my passport and all documents and gave to me the immigration booklet.

We have kept celebration on hold until there is final word on the visa. Today however I checked ceac.state.gov and it shows that visa has been issued and printed. But there is no status update on my passport online or with their call center. What does it mean ? Has the visa been issued for sure and we will get it any day now ?

When I saw visa issued and printed, it took about one week after for them to actually process it. March 1st showed issued, I checked a week later and it was updated to March 7th. March 8th got notice it went to the post. Picked up package today!

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I will get in touch with them later this week. I guess my main question is - is the visa approved for sure now. Well until it is in hand, nobody can say anything. Probably I am being a little kid haha.

Looked up and read experiences of people with similar status on ceac. It can be concluded that this status update doesn't mean much. After the update says 'issued', it can take anywhere from 1 to 5 weeks to get the visa. Some people had their petitions under AP even when ceac status showed issued.

I am switching back to patient waiting mode now and hope to hear from ustraveldocs soon.

just keep in mind not to put much into the websites ... they are usually wrong... im not saying that in a bad way or anything im just saying my husband is with me here in the US and we are now married and everything and if you look on the website that you are looking on it says his visa is still processing ... lol... this whole process is just hurry and wait... good luck yaar....

Call DOS and make sure it has been printed and issued. Others have found that CEAC is not relieable in its information.

Congrats!

I emailed ustraveldocs today and apparently i was checking the wrong section. If I put in my NVC case number in Immigrant Visa section it says "Issued". But if I enter the case number UStraveldocs gave me today in the NonImmigrant visa section it says "Ready (for interview)". They also told me I'm in AP, for what I don't know.

I don't know what to make of this madness.
