Hotels in Juarez

Going to Juarez the second week of April with my fiance for her interview.Just curious for those who have been there what hotels have they stayed.

She wants one in walking distance to the consulit.

Also what is the price for a taxi from the Airport to the hotels run?

Also we hear Juarez is dangerous and lots of scams,so I'm curious is there anything we can do around town or any restruants we can hit near our hotels and the consulit that are safe.We live in Tijuana and she is originaly from Monterrey,Mexico so we are use to some of the stuff that you would experience in a border city or big Mexican city.

I've been looking online and the hotels are not too expensive so thats good I just want some more info before choosing one.

Hello, i stayed at Microtel both times we went there. Price was about $60 a night breakfast was included. It is close by the clinics and consulado. There is a Dennys right next to this hotel so that was cool. And crossing the street there is a mall, they have lots of places where you can go eat there too.
