Hi,

I have a couple of quick questions regarding Part 5, household size, to make sure we complete the form as accurate as possible.

Question 21 states I have to enter the number of people I entered on line 10, that is just one person - my husband. It then states "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit c) If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse". Is it correct, that even though I am married, that I should leave this as 0 (zero) as I have already counted my husband?

In addition, we are having a second form completed as we need a joint sponsor. As my husband will be counted on line 21a as the person being sponsored, does he also have to be counted on line 21h "Add together lines and enter the number here. Household Size" even though he does not live with the sponsor?

Thanks

Correct

21h is the sum of the boxes before it. Add them up. He will be added in because he is 21a. The joint sponsor has to cover their entire family plus the immigrant, no matter where he lives.
