Dear V'jyers,

Hello everyone!I just have some questions for those who were done with their medical. Is chest xray the first step for medical?Would we know right away if we pass the chest xray on the first day? What happens if you have findings, would they let you complete with the rest of the process,in other words vaccination etc.or would you be rescheduled?

Would the Consul ask for my fiance's bank statements or land titles during the interview?Once I have the MNL case no., can I go ahead and have my medical done right away,or do I have to set an interview date first before doing so?By the way my fiance is a retiree, and his income is more than what is required for 1-129F.

By the way I just got my NOA2 last week.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

You can tart calling NVC to get your case number

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL #

(don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

For other Manila Embassy info click here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Philippines&cty=Manila

I do believe that the X-ray results happens all together with the other results. You'll be finished with everything before they give you the results. Meaning, if there is something wrong with your results they will ask you to reschedule your appointment with the embassy. Mostly it would be 2-6 months of wait to know when you can have the next interview.

St. Lukes site and the K1 requirements: http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#required-docs

St. Lukes pre registration: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Commission on Filipino Overseas (CFO): http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1348%3Afiancee-spouses-and-other-partners-of-foreign-nationals&catid=140&Itemid=791

Usually the medical at St. Lukes and the embassy interview are done on the same week and the CFO once you get your visa. Schedule in a timely manner. Give day or two in between your medical and Manila embassy interview.

Congrats again and hope everything goes well :) God bless you!

Is chest xray the first step for medical? Would we know right away if we pass the chest xray on the first day?

The medical exam can be completed in one day. However, it takes two days for most people. The medical exam, including the chest x-ray is completed the first day. The second day is usually for immunizations.

What happens if you have findings, would they let you complete with the rest of the process,in other words vaccination etc.or would you be rescheduled?

If they see any irregularities on the chest x-ray, they will inform you right before the immunizations. You will not be allowed to complete the immunizations. Instead, you will be asked to return in a few days to start the three-day sputum collection process. They will perform smear tests on the sputum samples and also perform a TB culture. The TB culture takes eight weeks. After eight weeks, if the culture is negative, you can complete the medical at that time. Then you can go to your interview.

Would the Consul ask for my fiance's bank statements or land titles during the interview?

Very doubtful.

Once I have the MNL case no., can I go ahead and have my medical done right away, or do I have to set an interview date first before doing so?

After you have your MNL case number, you can pay the visa application application fee at BPI, and then schedule your interview either online or by phone. When you schedule your interview online, you need to print out two copies of the confirmation sheet. If you schedule your interview by phone, print out two copies of the email confirmation they send you. You need one copy of the confirmation for your medical and the other one for your interview. You can complete your medical anytime after you have your confirmation sheets, all the way up until about a week before you have your interview.

By the way my fiance is a retiree, and his income is more than what is required for 1-129F.

By the way I just got my NOA2 last week.

Thanks in advance for your answers.
