You have to know that they embassy gets money from congress votes and senator votes.

You need to understand a lite bit of politcs to understand why some embassys do notwant a strong congressman on their butts.

So it will not get him out of AP but it will make the CO complete the process quicker when it is at the embassy level because they do not want to get funds denied due to angry congressmen.

And asking for a congressional inquiry NEVER hurts your case

Do it!!

very true, it won't hurt, and at least the embassy will know someone is watching your case

My husband had his interview on OCt 4th which I was there with him. Everything went well but at the end we were told we were put in Administrative Process. We were told to pay Domex and wait for them to clear this out and call my husband so that he can go back and drop off his passport.

Anyways... It's been 5 months of AP as of Oct 9th!!!! I am going CRAZYYYYY!!! And now to top it off it will be 6 months on the 20th that he got his medical exams done. Don't they expire in 6 months? or am I wrong? If they expire what happens? Does he have to get get them redone right away or wait until they call him to drop off his passport and then redo his medical exams?

Also.. Any advice on what I can do to try and speed this Administrative Process???

I appreciate any help and advice..

Thank you so much in advance

Rosy

Hi,

So sorry to hear about the AP but don't despair. The same happen to my husband(then fiance) and I last year. We were approved and paid domex and left his passport only to find out week later that they needed to get DNA tests for his sons. Which you can read all about in my timeline. Lots of money for tests, passports, trips back and forth from DR/Haiti. It took 5 months to get everything done and by then the medical had expired. It is only valid for 6 months. My husband had to redo the medical in October(first done in April). I called them to ask to hurry before it expired but only got a rep who was useless. My last resort was to email them. And that was the most effective way to get answers. It takes about 24 to 48 hours but you get real answers to your questions from one of the CO's not a phone rep.

Anyway, he finally received the visa but he had to pay again and redo the medical first.

I suggest you email the embassy. They do respond better than by phone calls that become costly.

Try emailing any questions you have to: sdovisasresidencia@state.gov

Good luck!
