"Who's the hottest Florida politician right now? Is it you or Marco Rubio?" Gregory asked, referring to Rubio, a senator who is also a potential GOP contender. "Who are we more likely to see in the White House?"

"Man, you guys are crack addicts. You really are obsessed with all this politics," Bush replied.

The "Meet the Press" host interrupted, saying he'd been called a lot of things, but never a crack addict.

"OK, heroin addict. Is that better?" shot back Bush, the son of former President George H.W. Bush and brother of former President George W. Bush.

Not necessarily, but I do remember the Kennedy era, and Ted never had a chance to get elected. I think the same would hold true here but not so much becasue of the father, but because of the brother..

Ted Kennedy only became a senator because of his brothers' coattails. However, electing a felony drunk driver to the Presidency was not going to happen, no matter who his family was, or their claims to martyrdom.

However, misdemeanor drunk drivers are OK with American voters.

Luckily America got over that and embraced the substance abusing George W Bush.

John Kennedy and Bill Clinton did set the precedent, didn't they?

Bill Clinton had a history of substance abuse? Which substance? What was he arrested for?

I'm trying to look it up but not finding anything. But I admit, I'm not trying very hard.

If memory serves me correctly, He "tried marajuana but didn't inhale" A picture of him smoking pot came up during his first run at the presidency.

But, it happened while he was in England, so technically, he didn't admit to breaking any US laws. The man did know how to parse a sentence!
