The visa is now in my wife's hands.

Her interview was the 7th, it went great, approved of course, and DHL just delivered her visa to her a couple hours ago.

We've got ourselves a plane ticket; a week after I get home from deployment, she comes home to me. And then cue two weeks of straight R&R!

Good month so far. :)

09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.

Congratulations!!!

My husband is deployed at the moment too and I hope to receive the visa right before he comes back.

How long has it taken so far since you sent your application?

I sent the application August 26th, 2012, if I remember correctly, and she had the visa in her hands March 11th, 2013.

Though I will add it could have been done faster; I had been unaware of the tax requirements and had to wait about a month for my IRS transcripts and H&R Block records to be mailed to my deployed location before I could send my AoS package to the NVC.

Congrats! You look very happy! I remember when I got my visa and my husband was still in the military (2 years ago for some reason seems so long ago to me). Where do you guys plan to live? I mean which state?

She's coming to Ohio, but then I'm applying for an assignment to England, and if I get it, we'll be moving out there come this December/January. Due to that, we'll probably be expediting her N-400 and she could go from getting handed her visa this month to becoming a citizen in nine months. :P
