Hi,

The income as stated in the two most recent tax returns from 2011 and 2010 is not enough to qualify for supporting an immigrant.

Things have changed, currently have a well payed job that is above and beyond the poverty limit, but only as of January. We want to use this income to meet the income requirements.

Does anyone know if an employment contract is enough as evidence? The instructions says "letter from employer".

Furthermore, we are supposed to include W-2's with the federal tax return, but the W-2's are part of the State income tax return, which the instructions say we should NOT include.

Should I submit the entire thing (federal and state) or just the federal, but with a copy of the W-2 from the state return?

Thanks.

Submit tax transcripts. Get them free from IRS on line, by fax, mail or in person from any IRS office. Submit current YTD pay stub to indicate current income.

W-2's are used in the submission of both types of returns rather than only a State return.
