OKay I know it's been a very long time but a quick update and then on to the questions! OKay Abdou and the family got here April 28, 2006 we are about to have another baby, our other kids came and had to adjust all over again but doing a little bit better. Everything is going as good as it can right now so Alhumdulilah (Thank God) for that.

Okay we want to bring mom and dad in law here for a visit from Morocco to help me out when and after the baby please can anyone direct us in the correct path to quickness? Tell us all that we need to have ready and do for this process? We would greatly appreciate that.

They need tourist visas:

Actually they need work Visa's, H2b (I think).

But the chances of getting them are next to nil.

My inlaws are coming. We got them tourist visas. The consulate may consider your MIL's "help" with the baby as work and that's why boiler suggested that route. But, as he stated, that is a no win situation in Morocco.

On Edit: I do know of someone having their tourist visa denied because they said they were going to "help my sister with her newborn baby". Whatever you do, just state their visit is to meet the new baby.

OKay now I am confused, I was told that I should say I need help with the baby due to the fact of diabeties and other health related issues and I got a statement that I sent with my MIL so she could come. My husband said that when he tried to do this thing of getting thier appointment the next one wouldn't come until January which would not be very good for me when I need her right away. What can I do to say this is more urgent for me, I need her like in December if I make it that long. I have been having alot of complications and I am on complete bedrest which doesn't help my children or my husband so what can I do for that?

I feel your pain. I was on bedrest for 5 months and sure wished my MIL was here to help.

I am surprised however, that the soonest appt. for a visitor visas is in January. According to USCIS it's 2 weeks:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tem...p;x=92&y=10

FYI, we scheduled their interview on Oct. 25 for the first week in Nov. They got their visas the day after their interview and are flying out in 2 weeks.

Perhaps the statement you sent to your MIL will suffice. Casa questioned my in-laws extensively about finances. Althgough, they may have weak ties, adjudicated their visas anyway based on their interview responses and the invitation and supporting docs I sent.

Ok, your husband needs help scheduling appts. I used a fake barcode and the next available appt. in Casa is Nov. 28th.

http://210.177.22.41/casablanca/make_calen...code=01393YM143

Does you MIL have a EVAF form filled out(DS-156)? It will generate a barcode and you can schedule an appt. using it.

http://210.177.22.41/casablanca/consular_page.asp

I'd try to get her an appt. at the end of Nov. or the 1st 2 weeks of Dec. since there are no appts. available after that until the new year.

Best luck at a early interview (F)

Just to make it absolutely clear, a B2 Visitor Visa is to visit, it is not appropritae for someone whatever their relationship to provide child care services. For that you need a work visa.

Also remember that you are not applying for them, they are applying for a visitors visa to come and visit you and see their new grandchild. They will be required to show that they have access to adequate funds to support their visit and that they will return home after the visit.

Any suggestion that they will engage in work or overstay their vist and they can forget about a visa.

Like the OP, I was hospitalized and needed care for several months. Both my mom, and obviously, MIL were not living in the same area to care for me. I wanted my MIL here in the US for support, but both my husband and I were not settled in the US at that time. Fortunately, we had the help of a family friend instead of a long hospital stay. If my MIL came to care for me, it would require a work visa?

keamoussaoui13,

You are making this sound more and more like a situation that may cause the in-laws to stay in the USA beyond the maximum period of 6 months that a B2 visa allows. Not the best way to get the visa application approved.
