Hello Everyone. Last week I received 5 emails about the USCIS needing more information/evidence on our case and that I would be receiving a letter letting me know what it was they needed. I received that letter yesterday. But... there seems to be a BIG problem!!! It has my name at the top of the letter with my correct address...but... the two people that are listed as petitioner and beneficiary are NOT me nor my Husband! And... it has OUR reference number at the top right of the letter!!!?!?

They have had ALL of our paperwork for 114 days now (according to our receipt dates)... and THIS may be why it's taken so long???? What should I do?????

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much in advance for any suggestions. And... Good Luck to everyone waiting!!!

Call your state senator's office. They have a person there whose job is to deal with immigration issues. They may have some suggestions.

Make an Infopass appointment at your local district office, an immigration officer there would be able to look up your information perhaps and sort things out.

Get together Everything that you've sent them so far, copies of the forms, copies of back up etc etc...show Them that They've messed up (wonder of wonders).

I'm sorry this has happened, but I'm sure its not the end of the road.

Could you post the names of the people that were named

on your RFE, it could be helpful to them to know that they

have been mistakenly switched since they may be waiting

now and have been for a while. I'm sure that the people if here on VJ would be very appreciative of your doing so.

I hope you get everything straightened out soon and to your satisfaction.

JSPink,

In your response to the RFE point out the error in identifying the petitioner and beneficiary of the case identified by your reference number.

That aside, what did the RFE ask for? And does what it asks for make any sense with respect to your case? Send it to them, in the event that the error is putting other people's names on an RFE that is indeed meant for you.

the odds of the names being some couple who are members here at VJ are probably slim. There are thousands of couples who are going thru the K3 process, and only a fraction of them find this website.

I would think posting their names would also be an infringement of privacy issue.

That is a very bad idea. Please don't post the names on your RFE.

Hi Reba,

Thank you for your reply before my request was acted upon. I know the odds of the couple being here are astronomical but it could still happen that they are a part of VJ.

I wasn't thinking of Privacy Issues when I wrote what I did and I definatly should have, I was just thinking that if someone here saw themselves named in someone else's correspondence they would like to act upon that fact and get things straigtened out.
