Hi everyone!

I have a question about joint sponsors. As my husband did not work in the US until November 2012, we will have a joint sponsor for the process. Now, we haven't even received our NOA2 (NOA1 is of September 14), but I was wondering if I could ask this joint sponsor to fill out the i-864 now and send it to me, because I know he is going on vacation in April, and I don't want any unnecessary delay... I read the instructions on the form and it says it should be completed when the NVC mails it to him... Any advice?

I believe he can fill it out now. just make sure that he/she does not put down a date by the signature since you are not sure when you get your NOA 2. You can fill that out when it's time to send it...

Good luck :)

I know, that's why I would like him to start collecting everything. But what if, let's say, I get my NOA2 in June (God forbid :bonk: ) and his employment letter and pay stubs are dated March. Wouldn't that be a problem with NVC?
