yikes looks expensive......................hopefully u can find somethin cheaper then that.. goin from beirut to jfk ive found good flights...but to dfw from cairo not sure what the normal is

Yep, that is expensive. I found some cheaper airfares on lufthansa's website, so I know we can get it cheaper than 17,777 EGP, LOL . . . more like 7700 to 7000 EGP . . . but it has gotten a bit higher than it used to be.

Just tell him to stay clear of Prospect Ave.

now tell her why

He/she may not make it out alive. Take your pick: random bullets, carjackings, rape, murder, crack addicts-any of which is reason enough to not take a cruise down Prospect.

On a happier note, Westport is a must to frequent! It's like it's own little town of drinking establishments, night clubs and a great place to people watch!

Oh-and the Plaza. Definitely a must to visit too. Especially at Christmas time. It is decorated soooooooo beautifully. And it's a great place to go shopping.

KC is known as the City of Fountains as well. There are a lot of beautiful things there. Not to mention home of the KC Chiefs!!!!!!!!! Go Chiefs!

nowadays, westport is getting a reputation for a place the police visit quite often due to something going on there.

I should have put a disclaimer that I haven't lived there since 1994! I'm sure a lot has changed. Does Prospect still have the same reputation?

I know exactly what you're talking about. The two weeks (yes I know it was quick) of AP were the hardest. But it is so amazing when you finally get that call from him and he tells you he has good news!

You mean it gets harder? Sigh...today is day 82 since mailing, 71 since NOA1. I know its well within a reasonable time, but :help:

All of the steps are hard! But waiting out the AP, I'm doing a lot more nail biting. I think because the other steps have a more or less set timeline and you kind of know how long to expect between each step; it makes it more predictable. But looking at ALL of the varying times for AP for each individual case, there really is no predictable time line. At this point, any day could be the day. I can't overlook the fact that I may be saying that for the next few months! :clock: I'm keeping the faith that it will be in this next week. In the meantime, I'm going to be doing a lot of this: :pop:

since i've been back from germany in spring 02, i've driven about 50k on the car and 20k on the truck, so i do go places :P

Have you been to Topeka?

been by it a few dozen times, does that count? :P

No.

What about Wichita?

Just tell him to stay clear of Prospect Ave.

I sang in Topeka in 2002 or 2003 for the Governors inogeration(I can't spell it) and made the front page of two different KS papers!

I lived in Wichita for college. Went to Friends University. GO FU!

But I lived in the KC burbs in Shawnee Mission for all of high school. I also lived in KCMO right off the Paseo about 5 min from the Plaza.oh the memories....

I've been to Prospect many times. Only once did I go at night, which was the scariest thing ever!

Westport was a nice area, but it has been getting worse and worse over time. But there are some really neat stores to shop at during the day.

GO ROYALS! GO CHIEFS!

I MISSS KANSAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying::cry:

Okay anyway, it's Tuesday. I am about to go to lunch. Spent all morning playing on the computer and doing a little work. I hurt my knee yesterday. Dunno what's wrong with it, but it hurts when I walk or stand on it. Oh well, I gotta go for now. Lunch time! 45 min of watching Gilmore Girl's.
