Hi

We had our infopass appt. today in Los Angeles and it was very beneficial which was a huge relief since we drove over 500 miles to go. We had a problem with our postmaster and only received 3/6 notices from USCIS in the past month. Anyways, the woman was very nice and helpful and she was able to get our RFE faxed to the office (thanks Anna for that advice).

Here is what it says in short:

It's for the I-864 for out joint sponsor

submit the following:

1. W2's, 1099's and all schedules submitted to the IRS

2. Federal tax returns for the past year

3. Evidence of Employment including letters from employers.

Soooo basically what we sent was his tax transcripts for the past 3 years with the initial packet. Do we need to re-send them with letters of employment? Is that it? Do we need to re do the I-864?

Thanks guys!

Sarah

Just re-send everything you sent before, with updated letter of employment and the latest tax return. Maybe some copies of pay stubs too for good measure.

They wanted the same of us although we sent in what we had (though a little different: we make the poverty line, but hubbie started to work in June and attended college before). Anyway that should be sufficient, but the Infopass officer back in August said that either the papers were lost on the way from Chicago to MIssouri or they particular officer wants more security than just being employed so shortly (duh, was in college before?!).

So just resend it, as well documented as possible, and if you are not working since a long time or you are close to the poverty line try to find a co=sponsor, just to make Missouri happy.

I am happy that the appointment could help you! :) Did they correct your address in the system too? Or why didn't the letters arrive?

Lg Anna

Thank you guys!

They had the correct address in their system- it was the mail carrier that was the problem. I contacted her at the post office and she said she had someone working for her for 2 weeks so that's probably what happened.

Thanks!
