Hello everyone, this is Andrea from Argentina, currently in LA.

I came on vacations 2 months ago using the VWP (im also spanish citizen), and I decided to stay with a guy from Couchsurfing, maybe many of you dont know the site, but Couchsurfing is to stay at other people's homes for free, while you are on vacations, its a very cool way to meet people, its not a dating site or anothing like that, its just for travelers.

To make the story short, I stayed with him and and we liked each other a LOT, it was unexpected (well, from his couchsurfing pictures i could already tell he was a hottie), so he even asked me to stay here longer than originally planned (2 weeks) so i asked my job if i could take another 2 weeks off, and they agreed, and we went to Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, and we had the time of our lives , and i swear i love this guy, i honestly feel im living in a movie, i even quit my job to stay longer, I know 2 months for some people its too fast to fall in love, but i really dont want to leave him and he doesnt want me to leave either, we got married in Vegas few days ago ...and we started to research this immigration process

We are very worried , especially me, that they will find suspicious that i met him on vacations and i got married after 2 months, but this is the honest truth, and there is also something else that worries me, ive played the DV lottery like around 3 or 4 times in the past, and that kinda shows ive had immigration intent :S is that on my records?

Thanks in advance!

Andy.

ps: by the way, im a girl, i know in italy there are males called Andrea haha

From what you've described, you should have no trouble. If possible, try to file (following the guide at http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2 ) before the end of the 90 day visa waiver validity period.

Honestly, your story is what the allowance to marry on the VWP is for. If your intents were as honest as you claim, then you shouldn't have a problem. Congrats on the whirlwind romance and I hope it all works out for you.

As long as that's the truth, then you just follow the guide Jay-Kay gave you a link to.

You'll probably need a few documents from your home country since it would make no sense to have brought them with you. Take care of those things first so it won't delay your filing. While an overstay won't usually have an effect on the outcome of your greencard decision, keep in mind that you will be out of status from the time your lawful stay is up. If possible, submit the i-130/i-485 package before your lawful stay is up and prepare yourselves for the next steps to come.

Yes, most things leave a paper trail. However, that's not the kind of intent that's likely to get you denied. It's if you had a clear intent on immigration when entering the US.Since you still had a job and return ticket, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
