Hello hi!

I am looking at the wonderfully practical step-by-step guide on How to File for a K-1 Visa, specifically at the Cover letter example provided in the checklist, and I have a question for you guys. :help:

What happens if the petitioner moves between the time of sending the package and the reception of NOA1 or NOA2?

We will be sending the package in early May. My (US Citizen) fiancé will be moving at the end of June but might only get settled in his new job/place later during the summer - meanwhile he will be staying with me in Canada, and his parents in NY will be receiving his mail. Should I put his parents address right along? Or his current address? Or...? :wacko:

I did read the USCIS PDF of informations regarding the filing and the information about address change, but I wanted to know what YOU would do in my situation... Thanks a lot for any input!

Well honestly, if you file in early may (the first week), you should have the NOA 1 before June 1. But if I were in your shoes and had a more permanent address to send things too, such as his parents I'd just make that the mailing address for him.

Also, be sure to fill out the form to get electronic notices. This would mean you'd get your case number via email and could then, if necessary, adjust the address online.

I agree... use His parents address. It will bring down the stress level not having to worry bout the address change and mail getting all messed up. Sometimes things go off in their own direction, take the safe route.

Good luck it is so worth all the stress and lonely times.
