I gave up soylent green. Because I love it too much.

Remember, Tuesday is Soylent Green Day.

Soylent green; I can't quit you.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Does your job involve a "workstation"? Then, you could probably get away.

I do have a ? Just what is lent ? Not the little fuzz in my belly button or the dryer vent.

It's mainly a wacky Catholic period where you are suppose to give up something...

The below was taken in part from (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lent) see there for more info... And I'm giving up giving a damn about what other people think of me or what I say, or my beliefs :-D

In Western Christianity, Lent is the forty-day period between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday (Pascha). In Eastern Christianity, these forty days are known as Great Lent to distinguish it from the Winter Lent, or Advent (known in Greek as the "Great Fast" and the "Nativity Fast", respectively). This article will discuss Lent as is understood and practiced in Western Christianity, except when noted.

Easter always falls on a Sunday between March 22 to April 25, roughly in early spring. Ash Wednesday, coming forty days (not counting Sundays) earlier, can fall anywhere between February 4 and March 10.

Formerly Lent was referred to by the Latin term quadragesima, or the "fortieth day" before Easter. This nomenclature is preserved in Romance and Celtic languages (for example, Spanish cuaresma, Irish Carghas, and Welsh C(a)rawys). The name "Lent" comes from the Germanic root for spring (for example lencten in Old English ). Initially the word simply meant spring, but later became associated with the fast. The name change occurred in the late Middle Ages as Catholic sermons were spoken in vernacular instead of Latin.

Easter celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, while Lent is a time of preparation for Holy Week (or the Passion Week for Catholics worshiping in the new rite of the Mass). Holy Week recalls the events preceeding and during the crucifixion, which occurred in Jerusalem in the Roman province Judea, AD 29.
