Anybody heard of any AOS case that received 2 different RFE's during the AOS process? What they did not request all the "missing info" in the first RFE they sent me in June 2012??? They made me wait another 9 months to send me another RFE?

:o What a joke!

Called again today. Spoke to an absolute gentleman at Tier 2. He was very sympathetic. Told me that there was some activity with my file on Wednesday but he didn't know for sure what that was.

He said to call back in 2 weeks if I haven't heard anything.

When you look at the case status on the USCSI website, does it say it was "touched"? I'm just wondering how accurate the case status update is. Fingers crossed!

Guys, I think USCIS is playing a joke on me.

I just received an status update to my email address. They say they sent me an RFE by mail requesting more evidence!!!!

I would not be so pised off if it wasn't because I did this already last year! In June 2012 we received an RFE requesting some papers from my husband regarding the taxes and we sent it right away. Then the next update we had from them was the transfer of my case to CSC! I thought I would be approved after that but they had my case in some kind of "hold" for almost 9 months till this new update where they request MORE evidence! When I first saw the subject of the email I thought they would approve my case or at least send me to interview. I started crying for the frustration.

What else they want now???? We sent them EVERYTHIGN what was required then. Surely they want me to do the medical AGAIN. As it expired already for the long waiting! Of course my medical would be expired after waiting almost 1 year!

I will make a formal complain about this. I will have to speak to some supervisor or something.

So this are the news. Hope others have more luck.

I still can't believe they want more evidence and sent you another RFE at this point!! Hopefully it is something super simple and then you'll get your green card soon!

When we went to our infopass apointment it showed up in the receptionist's computer that our case had been ordered to an office to make a decision. It never did show up in our case updates as have been touched. We receieved our GC in hand yesterday so we got approved and card in hand during the same week. I know it takes forever but once a decision is made things happen very fast. I would think them telling you something happened with your case is a good thing. Once they started moving ours it went quick. Good Luck!

The initial RFE could be from a quick screening of your case when you sent it in. Now that's it's being processed they are taking a closer look at it. Maybe when they did the background they found something they want more info on? From what I've read from other people on here once you get a RFE this late in game and send them what they want things go quickly. Hopefully that's the case for you. We got GC in hand yesterday so like 3 or 4 days after it was approved we had the card. Good Luck!

I was wondering what was going on with my AOS and I found this thread. I filed on 2012-06-30, got transferred on 2012-07-31, and not a peep after that. I didn't worry much about it since a) I am already living with my husband, which was my main goal, and b) I have the EAD, which lets me work. Though my EAD expires on 8/29, so I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on that and don't let it expire.

I don't think I'm going to bother calling about it. There doesn't seem to be much they can do except tell you to keep waiting.

Yes, I hope after we send them what they request this time, they make a decision on my case and dont put me in waiting another 9 months because that would make a total of 2 years waiting for GC!

I remember a member of VJ had told me before that she heard of cases that took like 2 years to get the AOS approved.

In May is gonna be 1 year that I filed AOS! YIKES!

I have a service request in now, and I have no idea where it's being processed. When I asked they said it's in "Boston" but that doesn't make any sense to me? I didn't have to renew my EAD because I had it lost and I had to replace it halfway through the year ugh but...

But I will have to renew it soon and I don't want to have to as it costs like 400 dollars...

I have a service request in now, waiting the 15 days to call back, but I'll keep posting.

I believe the EAD is free if your green card is still in the process.. so you should not have to pay any fees as long as you send a copy of the receipt

Well, my news is that yesterday I received the RFE (the 2nd during all this AOS process). They requested me a certification of good conduct (issued by the county law enforcement or police department etc) so we went there today and already mailed to USCIS. Now I HOPE this is the LAST thing they needed to approve my case.

The lady at this place had to do a search in the county records and as she found NO criminal records she printed out a standard letter mentioning I have NO arrest records... All this with county seal, signatures of her, etc.

Hopefully my case moves on and they dont want to send me another RFE because then this is gonna looks like a big joke.

Those are my news so far.

Well, we are in the same boat. Transferred to CSC in July (July 24) for faster processing.......riiiight. I finally called today and got someone on the phone (not a tier 2 person.....I figure we will start there instead of skipping right to contacting our congressman). We put in a service request which takes 15 days. I assume business days so that will give us some kind of info by May 8th. I also made an account on the USCIS website, and signed up for text and email updates, it seems that last time out case was 'touched' was probably the day CSC received it July 28, 2012......ugh. Based on other posters here I'm expecting a keep waiting email with no real info. My next step will be calling a tier 2 person or making an info pass appointment. After hearing from those service requests I will contact our congressman. If they keep delaying me I will bug them to the point that they search and find my case and put it on top of the stack just to get me to stop checking!

This is so frustrating. My wifes EAD/AP expires in August. I haven't looked at any of this paperwork in almost a year and trying to get familiar with the process again sucks! As the date of EAD/AP expiration gets closer we will have to look into renewal....ugh.

I wish we would have just interviewed.....she would have had the GC already.

I sent my renewal away yesterday.

Gonna contact the Congressman tomorrow.

Just sick of the waiting.

I can't see many employers hiring someone full-time who's work permit expires in a few months!

I have a part-time job now, but I want a full time one.

I also only have 2 months left on my Drivers license. :bonk:

Hang in there, guys! We're still waiting for my husband's green card too. NOA1 date of May 1st, so 2 weeks from today will be the one year mark that they've been in possession of all his info for AOS. We put in a 2nd service request at the end of March and got a response from CSC saying that supposedly his case is currently being adjudicated and will have some sort of answer in 45 days... Well, we'll see if that's true! But, at least it wasn't the typical "we'll get to it when we can" response! But keep bugging them! And your Representatives/ Senators!

I'm so surprised how "fast" this faster processing has been at CSC! LOL (sarcasm!) I've been seeing people approved after 3 months with an interview. I'm thinking at this point, if we could have an interview and a gc in 3 months it sounds better than waiting a YEAR! :bonk:

Yeah we would have rather interviewed than waited a year too.

My wife made a funny observation yesterday. She can't believe they are taking this long.......I mean they've been doing this for what?....over 200 years now?......lol. You would think they would have a good process already.

May 8th will be 15 days for some answer to our service request. After that we go directly to the Ombudsman or a Congressman. I seriously do not want to do the paperwork to renew EAD/AP and drivers license......ugh.

So I posted here a while ago. I have to say I was very aggravated about everything that was going on and I was very tired of dealing with it, but I do have some good news finally.

So here is what happened:

We filed on March 14, 2012. Got NOA on May 24, 2012. Then biometrics happened on June 18, 2012.

Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Our status never changed, no RFEs, no interview.

A whole year later I posted here saying I was frustrated. People told me to call USCIS. They told me to put in a service request. I know lots of people have put those in and have not had any results. But I did it anyway on March 15, 2013 (A year and a day after they recieved my file). They responded by mail on March 27 saying that they are trying and blah blah. I got mad but then I also got busy and didn't get a chance to pursue it further.

Today, May 7, 2013 I recieved my Green Card!!! I am so excited. It has the issue date of April 26, so about a month after they responded to me, they issued it. I am still shocked we had no RFEs or interview, but I REALLY hope everyone else waiting gets theirs soon too. My case status literally was still "Initial Review" a few weeks ago so I don't know how it happened, but it did. Thank god.

So maybe the service request helped, or maybe it didn't, I'm not sure, but ours sure took over a year to happen.

Best of luck to everyone else and thanks for all your support!
