Almost 10 months since I filed AOS and still waiting for GC!

It's the right decision. I'd stop calling USCIS since they a) give you conflicting information and b) frustrate you even further.

Put in the request to your representative asap. Like Capri said, you may need to contact more than one rep and/or your senator as well. I would call the rep's office and speak to their immigration liason (the person in the office dedicated to helping with immigration matters). It always helps for them to see you as a real person rather than a random name on a piece of paper. You'll have to email or fax them signed permission to look into your case. That's it. Easy.

I hope you find a resolution soon! What a mess this AOS business is :(

Well we just called again (3rd time!) to USCIS customer service and the lady on the phone said I should wait 2 more weeks and that this may take up to 1 extra month to get any news. So I will be going for the guiness record of waiting in total 11 months!!!

The weird thing she said, I did not quite understand, is that she mentioned my case is in the uscis local office. But then I asked her that my case was in California and she said yes it is. So what it was sent to my local uscis office?

They are gonna make me have an interview? After waiting so many months?

They are very good this people at not saying a thing to help in this cases. Tried to make an infopass app and the local uscis website has no appointments dates available for the moment.

So I guess I'm gonna contact a congressman. I dont see another alternative. :(

In your case, did you already contact a congressman or something?

No. I sent in a service request on the 2nd of January and got some crappy email back about 'how it takes time, etc. etc. bullsh*t'.

So ridiculously frustrating.

I've been waiting for 9 and a half months and I was transferred to the CSC back in July. I just sent off a request for the lawyer we hired for this process (what a waste, but we might as well use her) to investigate a bit. If she proves to be as useless as she has been in the past I might start calling and asking questions myself. I'm getting so annoyed at this point. You're not the only one waiting this long, OP! I can commiserate.

Wow......... I'm so sorry for those of you who've been waiting so long in this AOS stage. It's just crazy and wrong how new applications are being processed sooner than yours (our included).

Praying you'll get answers soon, as I can only imagine your frustration!

I have a service request in now, and I have no idea where it's being processed. When I asked they said it's in "Boston" but that doesn't make any sense to me? I didn't have to renew my EAD because I had it lost and I had to replace it halfway through the year ugh but...

But I will have to renew it soon and I don't want to have to as it costs like 400 dollars...

please keep us posted!

I have a service request in now, waiting the 15 days to call back, but I'll keep posting.

Renewing your EAD will be free, because you have a pending AOS application. :)
