I was wondering if I could travel with the Visa Waiver Program under Administrative Processing. I've read that it may take a looong time and as most of you have, I have also been waiting about 2 years to get my interview (and then been put under AP, still don't understand why).

It is stressful, my wife is about to become depressed as well as myself. We would like to start to live our lives together even if I have to go back and forth again. What can we do?!

"...Come...follow me."

Hi, I have no idea how to help with your question. I'm just here to wish you good luck and hope you'll get to see your wife very very soon.

Before getting married I hadn't seen my husband for 4 years so I know how you feel and how nuts you're going. Just think of that sweet moment when all the paperwork is done and nothing else can get between you too. I know, it's not enough but having positive thoughts about the future is what makes me keep going.

I wish you guys good luck

Giovanna

Once you have begun to the process for a IR-1/CR-1 visa, you may not be admitted to the U.S.A with any other visa, as far as I know. The IR-1/CR-1 petition would have to be withdrawn to be considered for another visa. My husband is working with the Naples Consulate as well and his case has been in AP for 10 months.

That is completely wrong. You can use a tourist visa or the visa waiver program to travel to the USA during the process, and many people here on VJ do. Now, if your AP is the sort where they keep your passport, requesting it back so you may travel may sow things down.

He is wrong. Now, if you do not already have a tourist visa it may be difficult to get one, but if you have one or., as in this case, can use the Visa Waiver, there should be no trouble; you can search for the subject on VJ, lots of people travel to see their loves ones regularly.
