Any hotel near by AMERICAN CONSULATE GENERAL ? I am looking for my parent to stay one night during interview.

Trident sure is nice, is that the only option? Trident rooms are almost $200/night and we plan to get 2 rooms so $400/night is quite hefty. Is that standard rate in that area? Any other alternative?

Go for Trident, it is right across the street from the consulate, amazing service and worth every cent/paisa

I belive there is a Hotel right next to the embassy called "Sofitel". They are bit pricey but sure is cheaper than Trident. You are looking about about $140 a night or so.

I am not looking 5 star or costly. Looking just one night. Is there cheaper but safe hotel. I do not mind to 30 min distance from Consulate.

There is a hotel within the proximity about a kilometer or so. It called Hotel Arma, and you are looking at about $25 a night. Not a great hotel though, if you are looking for something cheap, here it is. I would say be careful staying at a low end hotel especially, Mumbai is not such a great place. It is so unsafe and crime filled City, so it is always better to stay at a decent place.

I am also not looking for 5 star hotels....but i also want to stay for one or two days..We are three people.......but in safe hotel near Us embassy....Anyone please suggest a hotel for me...

I found ARAM HOTEL which is near to Consulate. It has Gujarati Restaurant. It is around 2K (AC) range.

My husband recently had his interview in Mumbai and stayed at Kamran Residency. It's within about 5 minutes distance from the Consulate, the rooms are nice and clean, and he paid about 3500 rupees/67 USD. (his room was small with a double bed and a HUGE flat screen tv! ) He was extremely pleased with the manager and staff there, they are very polite and very attentive- room service was prompt and they arrange wake up calls. My spouse is attending the interview in April. I've browsed many hotels and booked Continental Elite. They have shuttle to airport and also the cost of breakfast, lunch and dinner all included in the room. It worked about 7.5 K for me.

I also searched about Bandra residency....It is 3 star hotel...it is good....but my concern is only about how much time it will take to US consulate on drive....

Kamran Residency...is also in my list......

Thanks PMartin37! thanks for the information.......I also stayed in Kamran residency.....It is just five minutes drive to embassy.....the rooms are clean and bathroom is very cleaned....We paid 4200RS(deluxe) for three people...

But the rooms are small ....with small beds in executive rooms.....

So i choose deluxe......
