Hi There all!

I am assembling and reviewing our AOS package to have it ready and send out it this weekend. Two questions I have...

1) I have already have 2 passport size photo that is required by form I-485, when I was reading form I-765 for Employment authorization it asks for 2 passport size photos, do I need to put 2 photo for I-485 and 2 for I-765, meaning total of 4?

2) I know there isn't a sample cover sheet for AOS so I used the format that is provided here for I-129F package. My question is Do I need to clear the part that says " Nature of Submission: I-129F Original Submission" and put Adjustment of States Submission or something? Please help. Any other sugestion will help too.

Thank You all

1. Yes you need more than 2.

2. Why you would label something incorrectly is beyond me. :) You are applying for Adjustment of Status, not a K-1.

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

Thank you. You said I need more than 2 photos, is 4 okay or do I need more? Can you tell me how many?

You need 2 for I-485, 2 for I-765, and 2 for I-131. If you are not applying for I-131 (AP) then you need 4. If you are applying for all three, you need 6.

I highly suggest you also send in the I-131 for AP. Some people think they won't need it, then they do and wish they had filed for it along with the other forms to begin with. Some people are getting quick interview dates recently, but others are waiting close to a year. You may want to use or need to use the AP while waiting for the green card approval. The EAD and AP form fees are both waived with a pending I-485, so why not?

Yep, what Harpa said. You will most likely get an EAD/AP combo card: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=f5d28bcbf851e210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=6abe6d26d17df110VgnVCM1000004718190aRCRD

First of all, thank you everyone for all your help. Now I have questions on form I-131.

1) Question # 3 " Class of Admission" What do I put here?

2) Part 2 Which one do I select? I am here on K1-visa?

3) I don't have any plans to travel overseas as of now, so what do I need to put a date under question # 1 on part 3?

Please answer these questions. Thank you so much

Sounds like the successful responses that we also used. Good job.

Are you enjoying the respite from USCIS?

Omg. Reading this made me realize that I only sent in 2 passport photos with his AOS package. But then again due to the fact that he was already granted the I-765 multiple times does he still need the extra 2 passport photos? I sent a copy of his previous EAD card and his I-94. Now I am wondering if I even filled out the whole i765 wrong. Should I have checked permission to accept employment instead of renewal since he is now applying AOS through a new I-130?
