Hey guys! I have a question about my cousin , she is under f2a visa. The thing is she will have her interview on June 27 and she just requested for her nbi yesterday only to find out that she wil be able to get it after a month. Would it be ok just to bring a police clearance? Just go to the interview without nbi? Any advise will be greatly appreciate! Thank you!

NOPE! Embassy wants an NBI (green form for Travel Abroad).

Odd that NBI is taking a month, usually if there is a name "hit" it takes another week but not a month.

The release of NBI clearance depends on the number of applicants who applied that day. when i got mine earlier, those who applied today will be able to get their nbi on July 9! that's 3 weeks and 5 days. I got mine after 2 weeks.. this month for NBI is a block buster... too many applicants were getting NBI clearance for work or other purposes.. last November, when i got mine, it only took me 5 mins at step 3. 2 weeks ago, it took me an hour+ in falling in line for the fingerprint and photo capture (step 3). when i went back earlier, there were still many people at around 4pm.. but only took me 5 mins to get my clearance at the releasing.. P.S. I paid at Globe. those who are walk -in applicants usually gets their clerances a week later than those who applied online.. a month of releasing the clearance is not new... this usually happens if there are many people applied that day

i did mine online.. last november the release was only a week coz my name is a hit and only few applied.. so it is normal for those with a "hit"..

now, i did mine online too but took me 2 weeks for the release bec a lot applied 2 weeks ago..even today,..

those who applied as walk-ins will get their's a week later than those who applied online.

if there is really a lottt, those who applied online might be able to get their clearance after 3 weeks and those walk ins will be a month...

too bad for those walk-ins who fall in line at the dawn...that's y i go in the afternoon... so that there will only a few people in line..

i got mine at Robinsons Galleria.. but if u go there early in the morning, the line is up to EDSA already..

i know it's crazy... that's y i didn't bother to fall in line as walk in..i applied online..still fall in line for an hour at step 3..but atleast it didn't take me half day at NBI..

so those who are planning to get an nbi clearance, pay at Globe then apply online... then book for an appointment in the afternoon or at night (few hrs before the mall closed; this is if u apply at Robinsons mall and if u don't want to fall in a very long line)..

atleast there are only few people left... then get the clearance during releasing in the afternoon too..

get your NBI clearance atleast a month before the interview... this month and next month is a block buster at any NBI..
