Hello,

i am filing AOS (J-1 visa) but I am not sure of the date i should put under the I-94 expiration date : I extended my J-1 visa of 6 months and I am right now in the period of extension but I didn't leave the country since i am in the period of extension which means the I-94 in my passport has the initial dates of my visa so it is expired - I of course have a new DS-2019 for the period of my extension but I have no new I-94 so should I use the expiration date on my new DS-2019or just put the date that is on my initial I-94 and join a paper explaining...?

thanks for your help !

Usually I-94s for J-1s have "D/S" written on them, for "duration of status" - does yours actually have an expiry date instead?

Spouse-based AOS from out-of-status H-1B, May - Aug 2012

Removal of conditions, Aug - Nov 2014

Oh yes that's right, I didnt even check what was written on it before for the expiration date. I do have D/S, but then what should I put on the form? Thanks
