Hi everyone Ive been on this site for a while, and my husband was approved on the K-1 visa in December we got married last month and we are ready to send the paperwork. Its been a little confusing so I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can help. :)

1. With the AOS paperwork do we need to send any evidence yet, like pictures or joint bank accounts, leases or anything like that?

2. How many 2x2 pictures does my husband have to take, is it two for each form or just two for the whole packet?

3. On the I-864 it says that I have filed taxes for the last 3 years but I will be sending in a photocopy of the most recent year. Should I send in copies of the 3 years to be on the safe side or just send a copy of the most recent year. And do I photocopy the whole packet of the tax return or just a certain page.

4.My husband is not working yet so do I need to send in any of my pay stubs with the packet or employment verification letter.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions it would be greatly appreciated !!

Congratulations for the marriage :)

1. You don't need to send any evidence.

2. I actually sent 4 photos to be safe they are jus photos if they don't need that many they can just throw them lol

3&4. If you make enough (125% above the poverty line) you don't need a joint sponsor. Fill the form I-864 attach a copy of the most recent tax year only. You can attach the whole 3 tax recent years copies or Employment verification letter states your salary and pay stubs "Those are optional" only if you want to establish ability to maintain sufficient income. For myself I attached the most resent tax year with employment verification letter and the W2 forms.

Good luck

Hi everyone Ive been on this site for a while, and my husband was approved on the K-1 visa in December we got married last month and we are ready to send the paperwork. Its been a little confusing so I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can help. :)

1. With the AOS paperwork do we need to send any evidence yet, like pictures or joint bank accounts, leases or anything like that? If you have it then yes I would. We did not so all I sent in was teh Marriage Certificate

2. How many 2x2 pictures does my husband have to take, is it two for each form or just two for the whole packet? Two for teh I-485, two for the I-131 and two for the I-765 if applying for AP and EAD so six in total

Most people send in all three years to show steady or increasing income. I would go to the IRS website and order tax transcripts as they are accepted would an RFE whereas for the tax return you need to send in the whole complete tax return along with W2s. As an example our complete tax return spans 52 pages whereas the tax transcript is 6 pages. Tax transcripts are free and take about 5 days to get. Well worth the peace of mind that the tax information is complete

4.My husband is not working yet so do I need to send in any of my pay stubs with the packet or employment verification letter. This is to prove current income and is needed. I sent in 4 pay stubs and got a letter.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions it would be greatly appreciated !!

Good luck,

Dave

No, don't send documents proving a bonafide relationship like joint bank account, joint insurance, pictures... It is not asked in the USCIS instructions. But keep in mind it will be required if you are scheduled for an interview so it's good to start gathering evidence and have them ready.
