Is this enough documentation for our petition?

I'm planning to file at the end of this month to remove conditions from my husband's residency. I am planning to include the following documentation:

• Copies of the passports and green cards of Rahmatulah Wahidi.

• Copy of the tax statementS for 2011 and 2012, which we filed jointly.

• A letter from my 401K provider stating that my husband is the beneficiary on my account.

• Letter from my company of the designation of my life insurance to my husband.

• Copies of various car insurance notices.

• Copies of auto loan statements, showing that we are both named on the auto loan.

• Copy of our MasterCard Cards showing a joint account.

• Copy of our American Express Cards showing a joint account.

• Copies of the last 6 months’ bank statements from our joint checking and savings accounts.

• A copy of our airline reservations for a trip that we took in March to Las Vegas.

• Letter from my physician stating that we are expecting our first child August 1, 2013.

Do you think that is enough? Do I also need to send photos? I am missing anything important?

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You should include bank statements spanning a time period of more than 6 months. Include quarterly statements spanning 2 years (the time since you received the conditional greencard).

You should also include a joint leases (for last 2 years), or a property title showing joint ownership of your home, to show more proof of cohabitation. Do you have drivers licences showing the same address? Any joint utility bills, phone bills? Again, 2 years worth of these.

These are more important than photos.

I think your list looks good, except a two year spread of dates is what they are wanting to see. We didn't do quarterly bank statements. I sent our first joint statement, two from the middle, and the most recent. We also didn't have a joint lease or home deed. All utilities are in my name. No beneficiary status on anything. No babies. We still got approved, so send what you have. Not everybody has the same things. You've got some good ones.

You are a strong candidate to get an RFE - they will want your child's Birth Certificate. Don't worry because once you send the same, you will get your approval - child in the marraige, if any, is the number one evidence.

Yes try to send at least the first checking/ savings statement when they were made joint and the latest one and 2 in between. Other got RFE for not having a good spread.

Your evidence of living together becomes a little weak in the absence a lease/ utilities - Are you guys staying with your parents? If yes, you can attach a letter from parents to this affect. You can send copies of both your Driving licenses, if the address on both are same, to improve in this area.

Thank you for your responses!

We do have both of our names on our current lease as well as our previous one for the apartment we rented last year. Our drivers licenses both have our previous address, and yes, they do match. I will be sure to include those items as well.

I wasn't aware that the bank statements need to expand more time, so I will plan to include earlier ones, some in the middle, and some that are more recent.

Also, do they prefer that these documents be stapled, paper-clipped, or left loose? Should they be in a binder of some sort?

One big clip is the best answer--no staples, post its, tabs, etc--they disassemble everything you send and put it in the order they want

Looks like more than enough. I submitted less documents and my application was accepted. I think your life insurance is the killer of the killer, especially if the amount is sizable and your husband is the sole beneficiary. Good luck!

If you can't change your mind, are you sure you still have one?
