Ok so thanks to someone who responded to my previous topic I called the dep of state, and they told me our petition was still at NVC and they are waiting for Ankara embassy to tell them they are ready to receive new files. Seriously dude? and there is nothing we can do to find out when Ankara will be ready. I would looveee to know what the hold up is? this is ridiculous, we waited almost 7 months for the approval which is suppose to be the longest of the wait times but now this :( every one received their packet 3s like 10 days after their NOA2s:(( I dont know what to say or do, this longing is really hurting and damaging us physically, i hope they speed things up fast :*(

Have you tried contacting the embassy? http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Turkey&cty=Ankara

Put your case number in the subject line and just ask when they will be accepting new cases.

I understand Sarah. We have been waiting for a new interview in Ankara if we ever get reaffirmed on the NOIR. We have been waiting for 6 months on that now. Then to have to wait on Ankara to accept new interview files. OMG!!!! This is truly torture and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. Married 10/16/10 and still waiting to be together. And yes it is physically and metally taking us down. My family and his family are all in so much pain because of the uncertainty of all this.

NOA 1 November 15, 2010

NOA 2 August 25, 2011

Closed NVC Ocotber 11, 2011

Interview Date: January 12,2012

Thank you my wonderful God in Heaven.

so you guys basically are going through the same thing, wait times forms etc, twice?? and you guys are married too :( I hope they get moving fast. I totally understand the families' concerns, we're not even married and we have so many loose ends to tie and things to plan if this visa happens but we just cant because of the waiting :( i hope you guys can reunite soon, very soon.

What do you mean they are not excepting new files? I did notice the last I130 on here approved at the NVC had a 3 mo wait on an interview date. This really sucks. I would like to know what is taking so long. They were only shut down 1 week for the bomb if that. So that should not be the cause of such a huge back log. We were hoping to get a June or July interview date. I pray it's not much longer than that.

No. I was guessing they were 3 mo behind because the last people who completed the NVC for a I-130 in Dec had an interview in March. I am still praying to complete the NVC by the end of April and my husband getting a July interview. ( I have given up on the June interview)

We will have to go through Ankara, wish there was a better outlook on quick progress there. Wanting to keep positive but a three month backlog is depressing news :(

It's depressing news for all of us :crying::angry:

We just need to try and keep positive. Unfortunately it is out of our control, but have faith, pray and take each day as a blessing. As each day goes by, it is a closer step to being with the ones we love most and want our future with. The wait is worth it in the end when two people truly love one another. (Future reference) Looking back at this moment in life, all this will seem like such a short amount of time although it does seem like the wait is eternity at the moment.

i actually emailed the Ankara embassy and asked why they arent accepting new forms and they said there is no such thing as not accepting, they dont have the authority to say send or dont send new ones, so I dont know what the heck is going on. Im about to call dep of state again and find out where my packet is and tell'em what Ankara said and see what they say now.
