LOL are you offended again?

Can you suggest a better comparison for people who have to be fed, watered, and sheltered at the expense of other people? If so please advise.

Sport is not a condescending nickname

Actually it is:http://www.getkempt.com/the-past/dusting-off-the-condescending-nickname.php

It's funny, you just can't be polite to someone you don't agree with. The last page and a half, we have all(libs and servs) have roughly been on the same page when it come to government assistance, even RHR gave Evylin a compliment(that's saying something)lol. Stop looking for the differences and find the common ground, that's what it should be all about.

I wasn't talking to you sport but since you provided input here is the need for the disclaimer.

Disclaimers are needed during discussion among groups who instantly jump to their own defense even if they were not referenced.

Disclaimers are needed during discussion among groups who howl "racism" at the very suggestion of any type of self-sufficiency such as the mere observation that they, like everyone else, have a right to defend themselves.

Thanks for asking.

Well, since now you are talking to me, here is my answer your Disclaimer, since you had to explain it:

People only use them if they are referencing something that resembles what they swear it isn't. Like Law and Order/SVU, they have to have them because a lot of their cases are based off of real life. Their last episode, which was a pooly veiled attempt to retale the Chris Brown/Rhianna abuse story, serves as a perfect example.

What's even more funny is most people here would probably agree with you more if, like I said, you would soften your delivery a little bit.

Lemme get this straight. Blue has less law and order. Blue is dark and black is dark so blue resembles black. Because blue resembles black then according to you anyway this has to be the reason that lack of law and order in areas of blue is actually due to black, not blue as stated. Also and since and because blue resembles black then I had to and must really mean black (like HAD TO and MUST such that it JUST CANNOT BE LET GO OF) instead of what what was actually said which was blue. It is your careful study of investigative methods of Law and Order, SVU coupled with your rapier wit and superior discernment that immediately got to the heart of the matter and identified the whole sordid thing and I now stand exposed and yes, you win.

Is this like the "you didnt build your business" speech? It sounds a lot like it

offended? flaming ignorance isn't offensive, it's sad.

do you have any idea how the world functions? we are ALL fed, watered, and sheltered at the expense of someone else. so why would i suggest a comparison? i don't need to liken people to animals. people are people, try some compassion.

i don't get it.

In the context it was given, it was pretty sarcastic.

Also, unless you have been poor and on welfare, then you have no idea how hard it is to get out of the cycle of poverty.

Been so broke I could not buy a can of soup..

It's real easy to break the cycle. Cycle mean generation to generation. If you are poor and can't afford kids stop having them. Cycle broken

that doesn't mean you don't work for what you've got, it means that living is a collective effort. and thriving is most certainly a collective effort, always on the backs of the not so fortunate.

you would not have the food you eat, the water you drink or a place to rest your head if not for the work of another person. unless you are completely off the grid, other people's labor (and usually foreign/barely compensated) - contributes to your well being.

Bawwwa.. That's funny. I am given money for my work. It represents value. I trade that value for the things I need to live. I hardly live off the backs of others.

However .. If you live in a free section 8 house. Get you food paid for, your utilities paid for, and you contribute nothing or trade nothing of value in return.. then you are doing so on the dime of someone who is contributing .

You are right you are a bleeding heart liberal and god bless you because you are full of compassion, but too much compassion is the root of all evil. As Herschel Walker use to say, Everybody that is easy on you is not your friend and everyone that is hard on you is not your enemy.

Maybe I am just reading this wrong...

Even you (hopefully) can tell the difference between someone spending their time providing or producing something that has value to someone else then being compensated for it by the choice of the one who values it vs. someone spending their time providing nothing of value and being compensated for it by taking the compensation from others who are providing or producing things that have value.

As for compassion I have a great deal of compassion for the victims but zero for those who prey on them.

i'm not referencing any form of government, so no.
