THe USCIS received our I-485 on July 12th 2012. The form is still in process and apparently at the Philadelphia office. We caled the USCIS twice and they put in a service request due to the application being outside normal processing times. They have no new information and keep telling us to call back.

My question is the EAD and AP card will expire this summer and we were wondering if we should reaply for these cards if nothing moves forward with the AOS?

Contacting Congress was not a help for us and they told us to try back in a few months.

How long in advance would you reapply for the EAD and AP combo card. Given the USCIS being bogged down I would assume not to wait to much longer because of there extremely long process times?

Apply 120 days before the old EAD expires. Include a copy of the NOA1 from your I-485 so you don't have to pay. EAD/AP processing times have not changed.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Im not sure an info pass is going to do anything. If I know the USCIS this will be the chain of events. I take off from work drive 60 miles to the office one way, go in and they tell me they are working on the case you will hear soon. Have a nice day. So not only a day of work wasted also gas and frustration.

I am getting use to these people and they have a pattern.

If anyone ever had any luck with an info pass I would like to know?

Thanks
