I contacted our senator and was passed on to his immigration liaison. She was incredibly helpful. She told me to stop calling the USCIS 800 number because they know nothing and they will just make you crazy. She also contacted an officer for me and two days later we had an RFE. Coincidence? I doubt it. Our NOA2 came yesterday, a week after they received our RFE. Keep your heads up guys and contact your senators...maybe you will have the same luck we did!

Do you know who you talked to or remember the number you called? I see we are both in WA. I had filled out the privacy release form and faxed it in and then communicated by email with them after that. Your method sounds more effective :)

Wrote my Congressman on March 1. I got this reply. I have not heard anything else from his office. I will be calling him again this week.

Thank you for contacting my office regarding the difficulties you're experiencing with USCIS. I appreciate hearing from my constituents about issues they are facing.

Your request for assistance has been forwarded to my Casework Manager in my District Office. He will be in contact with you to discuss this matter further.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact my office.

Is there any reason why you are contacting your Congressman when your NOA2 was in September, and its barely been six months? I think a bunch of July and earlier folks here are pushing 8 and 9 months.

Do I need any more of a reason than I WANT MY FIANCE HERE. Any one that has been waiting this long should be doing anything they can to push it along. Especailly when there are those being approved that have later NOA1 dates. It has been 187 days. How long do you think someone should wait?

Totally agree  We are going to contact the congressman as well on Monday. Doing something is definitely better than doing nothing, not sure it would help though

VSC is doing well, I wouldn't doubt if they are getting near the 5 month goal.

I'd give it to the end of March and VSC will be inside 5 months and if they keep going as fast as it appears they are in the last two weeks they will be doing 4 months by mid April easily. If visajourney charts are anything valid to go by, VSC was still stuck mostly in July last month now August is 60% done and September applicants are flying through... Perhaps they are clearing their backlog to take a workload transfere from CSC. One can only dream.

Thanks!

Well I was only asking about the help from the Congressman because CSC is stating you are within the timeframe of their current processing times (their chart says 5.5 months, but on the phone they are saying 7-9 months.

Congrats on your NOA2 ChristianZane
