Personal opinion: they do not really help, they just "force" the center to find your case and based on that they send you a letter of response stating that you might have to wait 30-60-90 days more depending on what they deem appropriate given their

current processing date. So not much but I suppose it can make you feel better since you are "doing something" rather than just waiting it out.

Like everyone said hang in there. And maybe you could ask your fiancé to seek help to his congressman like what my fiancé did after our 5th month of waiting. :)

Bradix, how did you ask your congressman? Did it work? How long did it take for her/him to get back to you? I read someone else asked their Senator?

Any help is appreciated!

I had just contacted my Senator and the turnaround was really quick. I heard back within a couple days that they were going to contact the CSC and then in just a few more days they had a response from the CSC. You can search for your states contact info online. I wouldn't say it was really very helpful, but like others have said, you're doing something! At the very least, it feels productive.

We have been waiting a bit longer than six months. We are patient, but not having any idea of how to build real time expectations doesn't help. Hopefully the USCIS will shed some light very soon on how much progress they have made so far in 2013. Also, I'm praying they will transfer some K1 workload form the CSC to another service center.

Let's keep our spirits high and embrace faithfully the unknown. Good luck to all!

I just called USCIS to inquire about our application (just to be productive). We are patient but it helps to call now and then. This lady was super nice and she could not believe we were on our 7th month of waiting. She said the processing time was still set at 5.5 months but that they were stuck at July 18, 2012. I called 3 weeks ago and that was the same date they were processing applications. She said we can call every week if we wanted to that they don't keep records of how many times you call. She just said to hang in there. Also, if your NOA1 is passed July 18 you can't submit an e-request until they move that date pass your NOA1 date.

Thanks for sharing this, it made me feel a little bit better. I'll ask my fiance to call USCIS as much as he can. All of us who are waiting for our NOA2 should bombard USCIS with our calls and constant follow-ups, perhaps there might be some movement that we are all waiting for. Some mentioned in other forum that the cause of delay is normal and that it's cyclical (like last year, CSC was a lot faster than VSC) but talking about 7months or more waiting is just too much.

No problem! I understand there can be delays but its been over a month since they had the July 18th processing date and they have not updated it! I think you are right we should call and ask for information and hopefully if enough people keep calling it might put pressure on them to move things along or at least give an explanation. I think we should all contact our Senators too and once our representatives see the amount of requests they "might" put some pressure on them.

It would be nice if we could get media attention on this for extra pressure. I think many people (the public) would be interested in hearing about how legal immigration is being stifled, while DACA applications are being processed full steam ahead.

You can call every day but you won't get any useful information unless your NOA1 was filed before July 18. I don't think customer service even has insight into specific cases, they are just looking at the official processing times posted on February 5. Our NOA1 is of October 3 and the other day my husband called them three times, spoke to three different representatives and got three different responses. Response number 1: it should be very soon, as the processing time is 5.5 months. Response number 2: the average processing time at CSC is nine months, so you should wait for three to four months more (#######?!). Response number 3: just wait and we will notify you once it is approved. Conclusion: they don't really know what they are talking about and they refuse to investigate unless you are behind of official processing time.

They did keep records of everytime I called, every expedite request I made (2x) and address changes that I made (2x). First level have access only to a limited amount of information on their system. Tier 2 or Immigration Officers have access to more information. What ticked me off was when I found out from my senator's case worker that after 5 months of waiting, calling up USCIS and following up, their USCIS contact told them that my file was located in the "holding room".

My latest news was that it was with the adjudication division (pending action). Does anyone know what that means?

I can see how they might limited information but I think the officer I spoke to would not recommend I call every week unless it was ok?

I believe that your application being with the "adjudication division" is on the list to be reviewed. Hope you get your NOA2 soon! Fingers crossed!!!
