I DID ONE TIME A SERVICE REQUEST ALMOST OVER A MONTH AGO AND IT SAYS THE CASE UNDER PROCESSING IN FRONT OF ADJUDICATOR. HOWEVER HE NEEDS MORE TIME TO REVIEW THE RELEVANT INFORMATION. ANY IDEA HOW GOOD AN INFO PASS TO MOVE MY CASE

I did not even received anything for RFE. Over 6 months of waiting with no clue what is going on. I don 't understand why the NBC did not process my case and what the purpose of transferring it to a local office. is like they intend to delay it more especially if they knows about the NY local office load. did u try the info pass to see what going on ? was that helpful? did they notified you when they transferred your case to NY local office? how long your case has been in NY local office?

I have an INFO Pass on the 19th @7:30 am. Lets see how that goes. with everyday that goes by i want nothing more then to see that approved email in my inbox. I can imagine how frustrated you are. You should really try an info pass because they have to give all the information you ask for because you are way beyond the time frame and it could mean there was something wrong with your petition. do it asap because for this month the only appointment date is on the 19. good luck

How do you guys know that your case has been transferred to NYC? I received a notification that my case has been transferred to NBC in Missouri, but I now hear that NBC further transfers the cases to local offices. We have not been notified of any further transfer, but as my husband lives in NYC, I guess our case might be there as well. Any way to find out? It's been almost six months and nothing. Also, if it is in NYC, can mu husband request an INFOPASS even if our case is not behind the official processing time? I'm going crazy here, it takes so much longer than we expected :bonk: Any help is appreciated...

Not everyone receives notice of transfer to a local field office

Best to call USCIS and ask to speak with ISO and ask them when your case was transferred to local field off and which office.

Not IF, just say WHEN. They'll be more inclined to look.

Thanx. I will tell my husband to call them today as soon as he gets off work. I can't believe we were convinced for five months that our case was in Missouri...

Lol sorry.

I suppose there's still a chance it's there!

But that's not how the process works.

When you call, a customer service rep is going to say it hasn't moved.

You will need to ask/plead/demand to speak with a Tier 2 supervisor.

EVENTUALLY if you're persistent enough, they will transfer you.

Then tell the tier 2 rep that you want to know when your petition was transferred to a local field office and which field office.

If they argue right away that it isn't and won't, just tell them that the new process since august is to transfer them to field offices and you would appreciate it if they could PLEASE check.

Well, it turns out our case is at the NYC office as well. My husband just spoke to a tier 2 officer and he told him the current processing time there is six to eight months. We are already at six months, I can't imagine waiting two more months for approval... :bonk: He also contacted the senator and is going to fax the privacy act release form tomorrow. I don't know if it would help, but at least we are doing something...

Still waiting...I dont know what is NYC field office doing? Anybody got approved by NYC field office?

I know about two people who filed in October and got approved in February. I am still waiting and I am a September filer. My husband had an infopass a week ago and they told him that they received our case on February 26 and it would take 6-8 months from that date for the petition to be adjudicated  However, I find it hard to believe as it would be over a year altogether, but you never know with these guys... :bonk: Good luck to everyone in NYC!!!
