I posted this in another forum but I wasn't getting a response so I thought I'd post it here. =)

I recently received notification from NVC that my visa application can begin, along with the Choice of Address or Agent Form.

My question is: I've been working overseas for over a year now on a work permit. The mailing address in my country of origin (Philippines) is still current, because that's where my family lives. So is it still necessary to inform NVC of my change of address in the country where I work if my original mailing address in my homeland is still current?

Thank you!

Let NVC know about your change of status (from single to married) first before proceeding with the Choice of Agent form. That visa process is for F1, which you are no longer qualified in because you already got married.

Yes, you can still use your Philippine home address because you're going to be interviewed in Manila anyway.

Yes, I have already sent them an email regarding the visa conversion from F1 to F3. Regarding my question, is it necessary to inform NVC of my change of address if I am working overseas but my original mailing address in the Philippines is still current?

Sorry apple! I missed what you said about the address. Thanks so much!

My last question is: should I go ahead and send the choice of address agent form or should I hold off on it given that my new priority date for the F3 visa is not current?

Yes, don't send yet the Choice of Agent form until you hear from NVC regarding your case being shifted to F3.

Sorry to keep bugging you about this apple. You have been extremely helpful, I appreciate it. When I send them an email to convert my visa to F3 and to add my husband and my child as derivative beneficiaries, do I attach the marriage cert and birth cert in the email or do they only accept documents via snail mail?

You can scan the MC and BC and attach it to your email. Be sure that both are NSO copies.
