Apply for Ontario Birth Certificate With no Guarantor

I need a replacement Ontario birth certificate.

I looked at the list of guarantors and I do not know any that could sign for me.

Phone the Ontario Birth Certificate people they say include a letter explaining why I cannot provide a guarantor

Now I understand my money I submit with my BC application and letter explanation is non refundable.

So I am concerned they may not accept my reason for no guarantor and turn down my application.

Has anyone here been in the same situation as me...having no guarantor....and included the explanation letter and got turned down...or approved and actually received their replacement birth certificate???

I too have to get a long form Ontario BC. Do you not have a family doctor that can vouch for you? That is what I am going to have to do. Sorry I don't have any other suggestion for you

We intend on putting his family's doctor.

Even though she hasn't known him quite as long as the requirement, that's the only option we have.

His old doctor retired.

I am fortunate I have had the same doctor since I was a teen and she has known my kids pretty much since birth.

Otherwise it is tricky finding someone.

Will attempt to send in the "reason you cannot provide a guarantor" letter...see how it works.

Do you have a parent available who can apply on your behalf and can provide a guarantor?

Thanks zookeeper but both parents have passed.

Just an update...I sent a detailed letter explaining my situation have no gaurnator in which resulted in a replacement birth certificate being sent.

Hi - I see this thread is a bit old but I have a follow-up question. My husband will have to submit the detail letter explaining why he has no guarantor, but it also requests 2 "proof of entry" in the form of a passport photocopy (no problem) and record of immigrant landing (he was born in Canada).

Any tips on what to include in the letter and did you send a photocopy of the passport?

Hope someone out there knows the answer thanks!
