Medical Two weeks before the interview date? Pwede?

Sure no problem as long as you have no medical problems or have not come in contact with any communicable disease ul be fine even if u have ur medical a week prior to interview.

If u hv history of "weak lungs" when u were younger or had tb however slight, pls bring medical summary and cert that you had treatment for 6months and certification from ur dr that you are fit to travel. They will require a sputum test if u are found positive for scars on ur xray even if u had treatment before. But if it comes out negative then u are free to take the interview. Worst case scenario would be a 2 month delay for the sputum analysis where they culture the specimen and make sure no turberculi (bacteria which causes tb) would grow. Then they would schedule you another interview if it lapses from your current schedule.

Hope this helps :)

No need to mention that on ur interview. Just bring latest itr and w2 if he meets required income 120% above poverty line depending on the number of household members. There's a corresponding amount on the guide. If not, then have him fill out a new aos, and if he doesnt live with anyone who could contribute financially to fill out a household contract, then he must get a joint sponsor to fill out I864, must be someone with enough income to meet the minimum required amount with the corresponding household number that would now nclude the joint sponsor plus and his/her spouse, if any. Since our interview falls on may, we will be required to bring the 2012 ITR/W2 bcoz its past april which is the deadline for filing itr's even here in the ph. Have him send these papers to u including the new joint sponsors' w2 as soon as he can. Better be prepared early so that you can fix everything else that needs your attention before u migrate.

Remember the advise they give here on the forum. Just answer the consuls' questions honestly and concisely. Dont tell me info they dont ask for. Make your explanations simple and brief.

I wish this is in our Dec 2010 filers thread, but since this is the active thread right now, I'll post my "excited" questions here:

When do we know the date of the Medical Examination? I remember receiving a letter and a packet pertaining to the Med Exam. Shoul my partner expect for one?

Is it important to bring a copy of the AoS we submitted? From my experience, bringing the AOS definitely helped. I think we don't have any more copy of that.

BTW, Manila filers, how much is the Medical exam per person, including children, at St Luke's in Malate?

Thank you.

Once you receive ur p4 in the mail, either by email or snail mail, you could go directly to SLEC to have your medical exam. No need for schedule. Its a first come first serve basis so come as early as you can. Tell your partner to bring stuff that would entertain her inside as the waiting times are gruesomely long. You could also pre register online to lessen the hassle of falling in line for registration. It cuts the procedure by an hour.

Yes do bring latest w2 / itr 2012. Just download a new form AOS online and fill it up then send to ur wife.

Medical exam per person is around 10k pesos adult and 6k for below 15. Best allow some extra allowance for "unforseeable" expenses and adjustment payments or such.

St. Lukes extension clinic is found in Bocobo st. They no longer rent out chairs outside the clinic so better rent a room for ur companions who are not taking the medical exam but will accompany ur wife to the clinic.

Best of luck! :)

No problem.

My small way of returning to this community with all the information they shared. It helped too that I have people who are on the same boat as I am. I dont feel as alone going through the hardship of being far from my husband. :)
