Hi, I have a quick question. I filed I-129F on Feb 21st, 2013 for my fiance who's in India. It was sent to Vermont center. I read on the website that the average processing time for this center is about 6 months. What I want to find out is whether this 6 months is for the amount of time they decide to make a decision and then my fiance is called for an interview or whether this 6 months cover the entire process (decision + interview + final approval)?

Hope that's clear enough.

Feb 8, 2013 - I-129F Package sent
Feb 16, 2013 - Case Accepted and sent to USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing
Feb 23, 2013 - Form I-797C, Notice of Action received. (NOA1)

June 26, 2013 - Application transfereed to Texas processing center

The 6 month average is for you to receive the NOA2. Read the forums and you'll see many people still waiting over 7 months just for the NOA2. I'd say you're looking at around 9/10 months from start to finish.

Hi no one ever knows how long the process will be, but I would try to anticipate a wait of at least 7-9 months. You may however get lucky and get it processed sooner or you might be unlucky and have it take longer. Good luck

I Looooooove my baby Lyn.

It's just for the approval of the petition and doesn't include the interview. I suggest that don't rely on 6 months coz it might take longer than that. If you are lucky enough you might have an answer in less than that average time. Good luck!
