POLICE CERTIFICATE ITALY

Hi,

I have the two italian police certificates, CASELLARIO GIUDIZIALE and CARICHI PENDENTI. They are the regular ones, because they asked me if the visa was a immigrant or non immigrant visa. I said it was a fiancè visa, starting as a non-immigrant becoming an immigrant. So they gave me the regular CASELLARIO GIUDIZIALE and CARICHI PENDENTI (not the one stating for immigrant visa). Has anybody done the same?

Besides, did you get your fingerprints before going to Naples? I read that after the medical examinations you go to get your fingerprints registered. Is it necessary to have them done before that as well?

thank you in advance for your reply!

As far as I remember, my certificates didn't state they were for an immigrant visa.

You're going to be fingerprinted at the Consulate after your medical, and that will be it. Good luck!

Did it take a long time to get all the documents? Do you know whether they accept a co-sponsor or not?

J & L,

From what I've been reading here on VJ, co-sponsors are seldom if never accepted for K1 visas.

As for the Police Certificate(s), I got mine in one day at my local "Tribunale".

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.
