Getting ready to post off packet 3 - just wanted to ask - What happens to the DS230 part 2 does that get sent in packet 3 or do I take it with the rest of the Documents by hand to the interview?

Just spent hours trawling through various threads and looked on the Embassy's website but its not clear, I've either misread or misunderstood.

I have decided to send all the Forms together with the readiness form and cover letter as we have everything ready. But what to do with the DS230 part 2 ?

Part 2 is NOT signed. Your spouse signs it at the interview. Print out an extra copy. Send one with your packet and bring the extra copy (or send it to your spouse if you are not attending the interview) with you to the interview (just in case).

BTW, you should be making extra copies of EVERYTHING and have them ready for the interview. You would be surprised how many things get lost along the way. I am bringing an original BC & MC with me. Just to play it safe. You never know.

London instructions for K1:

Step One

Complete the Form
DS-230-
Part 1
, Form DS-156 and DS-157 for each family member applying for a visa. In addition, the principal applicant is also required to complete form DS-156K. .

That's it. Because you don't do Part 2. Ever.

If you notice, the two replies below are married and are not applying for a fiancé visa. They have given you a spouse visa answer. Immigrant visas like CR1 do Part 2. A non-immigrant k1 applicant does not. The thing you sign in front of the officer, comparable to Part 2, is the DS-156K. See the oath and place for the officer to sign that he witnessed your signing the oath?

send i and 2 togather the ds-230 part one must be signed, do not sign part two,
