Xin and I and in the process of K1 visa. We have the NOA1 (10/15/2012), almost 5 months  . We have a concern about her address in Caracas. She has moved and we do not want the process to slow down or be delayed. From what I have read the package from the US enbassy in Caracas is both emailed and pysically sent to the address. Do we need to update this address? We should recieve everything we need via email and then take everything with us to the US embassy at the interview. I wanted to get the opinion of others who have completed the process.

we are thngking to change it now or later after that we got the NOA2, cause it's not the US citizen's adress change but the beneficiary's, to whom the embassy will send the documents of interview.

She wont recieved anything from the embassy BUT an email with her appointment and a list of items she will need to bring with her so dont worry. People moves all the time and is bot big deal because the one is moving is the beneficiary. Once you have her interview you will need to bring a ds 230 and a g325. Just bring it updated and that's pretty much it! Btw you need to contact the embassy after getting the NoA 2 and the CRS number from the NVC! If you dont email the embassy they will not contact you either

thank you so much !

as i saw many people said they received packages, hardcopy, maybe Venezuela is different from the USA embassy in other countries? or someone can receive the package but someone doesn't? i m somehow confused.......seems like it was only 4 or 5 months as the maxi.,from NOA1 to NOA2,about cases of Venezuela, but now we are catching 5 months and no news; Venezuela is not in such a good situation now,me ( the beneficiary ) neither, (i guess you know Chavez just dead, the security would be worse, and we worry polictical war or sth.similar happen ) but this year seems like so different from others, i don't know why...waiting so hard. :(

Don't worry! Is not confusing at all! Although most of the countries work with package 3 and 4, Venezuela is one of the few exceptions who doesn't work like that. For ALL the Venezuelan's beneficiary, the system is the SAME: after getting the NOA2, the petitioner must call the national visa center and request the CRS number. After a week the petitioner must write an email to the embassy asking for an appointement (you should submitt receipt number, crs, names etc) After 2 or 3 weeks you should receiving an answer with the date of the interview and a list of documents she needs to bring with her. And about the situation of my country, Im very aware of what happened but how somebody said "the show must go on". So besides that the embassy is close it's only for this week. And while everything "remains calm" you should nit be worry. Changing subject, about how fast or slow is the NOA 2 processing time, it has nothing to do with the beneficiary's country. What it really has to do is the person who is currently working with your petition and the service center you were adjudicate. Since the DACA started, everything got so slowww! Like a week ago, the USCIS decide to transfer some DACA cases from Vermont to Nebraska, to speed things up! It's crazyyyy how much time is taking compare to 2011 and 2012! It only took me 7 month since my husband and I filed for my petition till I moved to the US. Only 3 months and 3 weeks to got my NOA2. The Noa2 processing time was less than 5 month a year ago

Your welcome! Im glad I can help! In general terms, Venezuela has one of the lowest denial rates in Visajourney. Last year we ALL were approved (we are a very closed group about 17 american/venezuelan 's couple). I was the first (Vj venezuela) being approved. We had a great 2012, only 2 couples were put under Administrative review but they already obtain their visas :) if you go the venezuelan portal you can meet some of our members. They all super nice and always willing to help others. If you need anything else. Send me a message
