I cant view the status of my EAD online as it says number not recognised. Does anyone know if I will see a status update online once the card is approved or will the card just turn up in the mail?

Yes it will most probably get updated online. I had the same issue; when my EAD got approved it just switched from "Case not Found" to "Card/Document Production".

little update for my husband AOS (I-485): as of may 13,2013, his status online went from RFE response review to testing and interview!!! dancin5hr.gif

Testing and Interview

Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance

it only takes about less than 2months...even we had an RFE. god is great!!! dancin5hr.gif

(his EAD/AP is still pending...hopefully we got the approval for that soon too!!!)

As far as I have researched, this second e-mail seems to be not uncommon, and it means that my card is being sent out now. After Friday's e-mail, I had hoped that I would have the card in hands by now though, so I guess I need to have a couple more days of patience...

I got a second update today on my EAD:

Just checked it today, and I have this:

The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on May 16, 2013. The USPS tracking number assigned is 9205592338400102499768. You can use this number at www.usps.com to view updates to the delivery status of your mail. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Wait...is the EAD and AP printed on the same card? How come the AP status is not updated?

My AP case status has not been updated either, but the EAD is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I think they usually send out AP/EAD combo cards. I'll let you know if mine is a combo cad when I have it in hands.
