I cannot check my status online too. My number starts from MSC i.e. for the national benefits center. I haven't called the USCIS as yet..I guess the EAD should come in mail within 30 days of my biometrics...

I noticed you walked in for your bio. Did they say anything to you for just walking in, in other words did you have to give them a reason for the walk in. Did they ask why you just didnt wait for the appointment.

In Atlanta, no questions were asked about appointment date. The reason was conflicting work schedule, but they didn't ask anything other than what was necessary for the process. It was afternoon, and they weren't busy.

What do you have to do, If you cannot check your status Online.. any trick to it? rather than calling.. I have my application number starting with MSC, which completely contradicts with the instructions options on USCIS.gov.

I don't think there is any other way than either calling or waiting for hardcopies... Application numbers for the National Benefits Center generally start with "MSC", and it seems that NBC doesn't properly update their online system. It just makes me feel very nervous, since I don't trust USPS... What if the letter gets lost, and I have an interview coming up or an RFE without knowing about it?

Hi guys, we are March AOS filers as well! Glad to see we're in good company.

We got an appointment for biometrics for 4/24, but did a walk in last week, 4/11. So far, we haven't heard anything, no RFE or nothing. We're hoping that our case will be transferred so we can get an interview and the GC sooner, but no control over that, so we'll settle for the EAD/AP card instead.

Received interview appointment letter yesterday. The day to interview is May 22nd.

One question to ask.

If you do not speak English fluently, you should bring an interpreter.

My wife doesn't speak English fluently. I am coming to the interview with her and I speak English and would like to be the one to help translate.

Do I still need to bring an interpreter?

Congrats on getting your interview appointment letter! I do not really know the answer to your question, but I found a couple of older threads on here about the same topic:

Knock on wood, everyone's EAD / AP will be coming through in the next month.

Has anyone thought about getting interviews with prospective employees in the first weeks of May, preempting that the EAD will be with you by the end of May?

I will be getting my CV ready next week, but I will probably wait with sending out applications until I have my EAD in hands. I do admit it kind of sucks, because all the college kids will be getting out in May and will be looking for a job, so I am a little worried that all the good jobs will be taken by the time that I will be allowed to apply.
