I got a letter as a response to my E-Request, dated Nov. 25th. Drum rolls ... wait for 6 more months since the data of the letter, that is until almost June 2014. Charming, eh?

Oh gosh, this is pathetic!! Really sorry to hear. Have you gotten your Congressman/Senator involved?

_{I have made several service requests now and my local office has been quick to respond but were saying that they had requested my file from the National Benefits Center, and then the most recent letter from them said my file was still in transit on its way to them. But when I talked to USCIS on the phone they have told me twice now that my file was already at the local office. I was even able to go above a tier 2 officer and speak with a supervisor and he suggested I make an infopass appointment in Fort Smith. So I did that last week and this morning travelled to Fort Smith hoping for answers. It has been 9 months now since I filed my application. I had biometrics in April and an RFE which was responded to in May. I don't get why it is taking so long!}

_{So I attended the appointment and explained all of the above. She came back with my file and said the good news is they have my file, it was received on November 21st. But she said that I now go to the back of the line for processing and I should expect another wait of 6 months for them to process my application. I explained I had already been waiting 9 months and their processing times state 4 months. She said they go in order of the date they were received in the office, not the date they were filed. So frustrating!}

_{I am hoping that, as with the interview waiver letters that say there will be a delay of 6 months, that it won't be near that long but who knows at this point. The lady said that the 6 months processing time is given to ALA and congress so I don't know whether she was suggesting it would be pointless to contact my local congressman.}

_{I returned to my office which is a law firm and spoke with the office manager updating her on who it went this morning. The partner of the law firm is very well known in the community and the state and knows a lot of politicians and she suggested I see if there is anything he can do.}

My advice to most filers is BE PATIENT ! Don't call and harass USCIS ! It has been my observation that those who are doing that seem to have the most trouble...just saying. Remember the wheels of the Government turn VERY SLOW,, But

They do turn. So be patient.

Well the problem is that many people have been patient for months and months, but at some point I find it extremely understandable to run out of patience. There are some members on here who have been waiting since last November (2012!) for their Green Cards. If I were at 13 months of waiting, I would surely not stay calm - I would raise hell with USCIS and government representatives in order to get my GC!

Just got the letter about delays after our service request in October. Six months from the date of the letter. Hopefully the GC will just come in the mail, no interview.

Well, well I just received a status update yesterday February 20th 2014 that our K1 AOS has be approved and card is now in production. Almost 12 months and its finally approved....no interview at all...

Finally! Exactly one year since we mailed everything in, this morning on the uscis site :

"On March 7, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later." Hopefully it wont take long for the card itself to come.

Anyone from March still waiting. I beginning to feel like I am floating in a vast ocean with no end in sight at this point. I don't think most people are as patient as they should be in general, but if we go through this maddening process and don't come out as more virtuous people, then we haven't learned anything. I believe I've learned enough about patience at this point. I would like to have what I honestly payed for, thank you very much USCIS!

Guess I am one of the last on this thread if not the last, but we finally received our AOS card production status update!! Yay for us!
