I apologize if any question similar to mine has already been asked here. I couldn't find any satisfactory answer and decided to enquire about my situation in a new post.

I got a green card couple of days ago through a marriage to a U.S. citizen. At the same time I got a one-year job offer with a U.S. government contractor to work overseas. In case I accept the job, it will allow me to travel back to the U.S. 4 times a year, max. 10-11 days each time. When we discussed my possible prospects with the immigration officer, he mentioned that as long as I didn't stay outside U.S. for a long period of time and was able to provide evidence to the immigration officers at the port of entry that I kept my ties to the U.S. i.e. property, credit cards, car, etc. I shouldn't have any problems. He also recommended filling out N-470 to preserve residence for naturalization purposes in order for me to be eligible for naturalization after 3 years. However, the application clearly states that the applicant should reside in the U.S. for one year after obtaining the green card in order to be eligible to file N-470. This makes N-470 not applicable in my case. Before finally accepting or declining the job offer I would like to know all the pros and cons of my situation and wanted to ask here if anyone knows

1. how my frequent travel outside the U.S. for employment purposes will affect my LPR status?

2. If there is any form I need to fill out to inform the USCIS of my employment?

3. In case I accept the offer, how it'll affect my 3-year continuous residence and physical presence requirements?

Thank you so much for any information you are able to provide me with.
