Hi All,

I have read the instructions and the guide for this packet and am wanting to run this by you to make sure I've done this correctly.

1. G325a Biogrphic Information Form

- Does this need to be for the beneficiary only (Not the USC)?

- What do I need to provide with the G325a? 2 x Photos? Photocopies of passport/marriage certificates?

2. I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residende or Adjust Status

- 2x passport photos

- Copy of Front and Back I-94

- Copy of Vaccination Record

- Copy of Beneficiary Birth Certificate

- Copy of Visa

- Copy of NOA2

- Copy of Marriage Certificate

3. I-131 Application for Travel Document

- 2x passport photos

- Copy of Front and Back I-94

- Copy of Vaccination Record

- Copy of Visa

- Copy of Passport Biographical Page

- Copy of Marriage Certificate

4.I-765 Application for Employment Authorization

- 2x passport photos

- Copy of Front and Back I-94

- Copy of Passport Biographical Page

- Copy of Visa

- Copy of Marriage Certificate

5.I-864 Affidavit of Support

- 3x years worth of W2 forms

These forms are all going to be filed at the same time so I was a bit skeptical about the need for 8 passport photos?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Sorry for popping in, but the copy of the Marriage Certificate does not necessarily have to be certified, right? We are sending out our AOS package tomorrow, and we only made a regular b/w copy. It does not say it has to be certified in their instructions...

Thank you for your help in advance.

Only the foreign spouse is filing to adjust status. Only they need to send a G-325A. All the forms except for the I-864 are filled out by the foreign spouse. You need 6 passport photos, not 8. Use Vanessa's list. It has everything needed for each form: http://www.visajourn...-list-included/

There seems to be some confusion in this thread. You only need to send a copy of your certified marriage certificate. Your copy will do. Bring the one you got from the court with you to your interview, should you even have one.

The certified marriage certificate is what you get back from the court after your marriage is registered. Their stamp/seal and/or signature on it is what makes it certified to be a true copy that is on file with the court.

Thanks Jay-Kay! that is exactly what I mean - we have a certified copy of our marriage certificate from the court, and we have made a regular copy of that certified certificate.

Topic has been moved from the K-1 forum to AOS from a Family Based Visa forum as a more appropriate location for this discussion. You've 'graduated' and have moved on up to the next level! Good luck :)

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Nothing you need to send needs to be certified besides a translation of birth certificate which is done simply by a writen letter from the translator saying that he or she is certified in both languages.

USCIS site with info

"USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications."
