Hello all;

I have applied for a Green Card for my married sister who lives in India.

I applied for the GC about 10 years ago.

I know it takes ages and ages.

Question I have is this. My brother in law wants to apply for a Visitor's Visa.

There is a section in the visitor's visa application form where it asks,

"Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?"

I am not sure what to tell him to put for this section?

Technically I have applied for my sister and he will get his C through her.

Should he put yes or no?

Any help is much appreciated.

You should put no because as of the ate he applies for his visitors visa, no one has ever "filed an immigrant petition on HIS behalf" right? Or did she put him down on her application?

Yes is the answer.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I am pretty sure they did not ask for spousal information in the GC application.

Well, in my opinion, the answer is no since there is only an application in process for your sister NOT her husband.
