Hi everyone,

just wanted to offer some peace of mind for those of you outhere still waiting for a receipt notice.

here's my timeline:

8/14/06 - I-751 petition sent to the Nebraska Center. I had the USPS certified mail receipt and the cashed money order to confirm that they have my petition.

9/20/06 - called National Customer Service Center to let them know i haven't received my NOA. They said the petition was received on 8/14 but they're 30-45 days late w/ sending out NOA.

10/5/06 - called NCSC, still no NOA. They re-confirmed they received my petition on 8/14 and this time they even gave me a receipt # to look up online. Of course it came up as "not found".

10/6/06 - my attorney's office sent out a written inquiry form w/ a cover letter requesting a receipt notice

10/09/06 - i made an infopass appt and went down to my local office to request a stamp in my passport since my conditional card expires 11/4. The officer there told me i don't need a stamp unless i travel abroad or my employer requests one for verification of employment. since neither circumstances applied to me i came home empty handed. good to know though that this stamp is only valid for 60 days.

11/9/06 - GOT MY RECEIPT NOTICE IN THE MAIL!!! it has a received date of 8/14 BUT a completely different receipt # than the one given to me over the phone. AND it says REPLACEMENT NOTICE on it like i ever got one before!!!

Anyway, now i'm patiently :bonk: waiting for my biometrics appointment.

so there is hope!!!

So you have to do biometrics again?

My wife did it before her conditional interview. I've been out of the game for awhile so...I need to learn what we have to do next.

My receipt notice says that in order to further process my petition I will be receiving a biometric appointment notice.
