Hello ,

Just a little report on Danita trip to get her police cert. Everything went well, she had all of her paperwork ready and it went smoothly. Now, the reason for my posting is part way though the gentleman who was processing her ask how quick she needed this done and if she needs it fast he can help things along and have it finished for her in 10 days....all for only 1000 thb. Danita politely declined and at the end she was told she could come back in 3 weeks to get her certificate ( she did not want it mailed). Some of Danita's friend have paid this ( uuuuhhhh, expedite fee) in the past with varying results but i thought most are finished in 2 weeks regardless. Just thought i would share this.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Not surprising. I've seen so many variations on the Thai police report in the 6 years I've been around this immigration process. My wife paid some lawyer 5k Baht in Chiang Mai to deal with it because she didn't feel like going to Bangkok to get it. I think the lawyer got it the same day somehow.
